Camp Shout Out is a non-profit residential, individualized speech therapy-recreational program for school-age children age 8-through high school who stutter or have other fluency disorders, combined with a hands-on, intensive training opportunity for speech-language pathologists and graduate students. Camp Shout Out was developed through the collaboration of Julie Raynor, speech- language pathologist in the Muskegon, MI schools and Kristin Chmela, speech-language pathologist and internationally recognized Fluency Specialist, local community members and universities. Funding sources include local, regional and national grants as well as private donations and support from the Stuttering Foundation. Camp Shout Out has attracted children, speech-language pathologists and graduate students from throughout the United States, Canada, Central America, and New Zealand. It is held each August in Holton, Michigan.
